What exactly is a master beekeeper?
The Texas A&M Agrilife Extension Office provides certification for Texas Beekeepers.
There are 4 levels of certificates: apprentice, advanced master and master craftsman.
To reach the master craftsman level requires a minimum of 5 years. Each level involves public service, projects and extensive testing.
Michelle has reached the master level and is currently working on the last level: Master Craftsman.
This level will take two years to complete.
