Michelle

Michelle began beekeeping in 2014 with her son, Tim. She started hanging out with other beekeepers and realized there were no local clubs in Denton to share knowledge and ideas. She met Christina, a Denton beekeeper who also wanted a local club, and they founded the Denton County Beekeepers Association.

In 2016, Michelle decided to enter the Master Beekeeping Program at the Texas A&M Agri-life extension office. She achieved the Master Beekeeper certification in 2018. Michelle will spend the next two years reaching for the final level of Master Craftsman in the five year program..

Michelle retired from her position with a local non-profit in November of 2019 to pursue beekeeping full-time. She hasn’t looked back once and continues to embrace bees more than ever.
